I 've known Steve for about 10 years and played with him in several bands while he was in Nashville. He was a good friend and we kept in contact over the years.A year ago he called me and inspired me to pursue playing on a cruise ship.I just emailed him hours ago to thank him for all his help not knowing he was gone.I'm shocked and deeply saddend. He was truly an awsome person and very talented musician. My sincere condolences to the family.

Robert Wong | Meeting Steve | April 5, 2010 |
Hi:
My name is Robert Wong, I had the pleasure of being Steve’s first roommate when he started his career on cruiseships in the early 90’s. You can see a picture of us on the gallery slideshow, pict #4, that’s us in
I was always with Steve in spirit when he was going through his struggles on land, trying to make a living not performing his music and when he announced to me he would be working the ships again playing his music I was so happy for him. Music was his life and he loved playing! Just thinking about him puts a smile on my face, he was my friend and I loved him like the brother I never had. Yes, I do have two real brothers but Steve was an artist and only an artist could understand how another artist feels about going full-time doing what you love for a living. Steve was a loving caring friend for me and he was so happy for me when my first daughter was born 10 years ago. I love showing my girls pictures of me working on a cruiseship and telling them stories of the wonderful people I met. Steve was one of them and he will always be in my heart.
I am so happy now that he is at a place where he will not be alone, playing music and having fun with his mom.
No more pain just peace and happiness Steve. I miss you buddy.
Robert.

To the Maue family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. Steve was such a wonderful person. The lord must have a special job for him in heaven. He will be so missed, but I know you will see him again.
Please take care.

Dear Steve,
I am so glad to have known you. You were such a sweet person. Thank you for all the fun times we had when we were kids. You will never know how much they meant to me. Thank you for always being there when I needed you.
I was so glad that you contacted me a few years ago and that we were able to renew our friendship. You were a lovely person. I know how much you loved your family, and how much your higher power meant to you. Thank you for being a part of my life and over the years bringing me so much joy.
I was so happy and proud for you for all you became in your life and your unstoppable ability to help others.
Thank you for being my friend.
Love you always,
Cathy
